Thumpo

Privacy policy

Last updated 7 November 2026

Thumpo turns the photos and videos you pick into a video cut to music. We built it so that your photos and videos stay on your phone. This policy explains the little we do collect, why, and what you can do about it.

Your photos and videos

Thumpo reads the photos and videos you choose, from your camera roll or Google Photos, to build your video on your phone. They're never uploaded to us. Things like spotting faces for framing, finding the beat and naming places are worked out on your phone. Clips you pick from Google Photos are copied to Thumpo's storage on your phone so your video keeps working offline.

To name the place a photo was taken, Thumpo uses your phone's built-in place lookup, which may send the photo's location (not the photo) to your phone's location service provider, usually Google.

Your account

You can use Thumpo without an account. If you sign in (with Google or email), we keep:

We use these only to run your account, your plan and your credits.

AI music

If you ask Thumpo to make music, we send the description you type and the length you choose to our music provider, ElevenLabs, which creates the track. We store the track and your description with your account so you can use it again.

Purchases

Subscriptions and credit packs are sold through Google Play. Google handles payment; we never see your card details. Our payments provider, RevenueCat, receives a record of what you bought, linked to your Thumpo account, so we can give you Pro or your credits.

Who we share data with

We don't sell your data or use it for advertising. We share it only with the services that run Thumpo:

How long we keep it

We keep your account data until you delete your account. Then it's deleted straight away, and removed from backups within 30 days. Purchase records are kept by Google Play and RevenueCat as the law requires.

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have further rights, including the right to complain to your data protection authority.

Children

Thumpo isn't intended for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their data.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update it here and change the date at the top. For big changes we'll also tell you in the app.
